I dont recycle my phones as in taking them to recycle centers i either part exchange it in cash converters or just sell it then get another 2,3 year old pre owned flagship been doing it for years had no problems even with unsupported phones and oldest phone ive used was a samsung galaxy s5 last year and again had no issues beyond having to update things and small amount of memory 32gb and 1gb ram it had lollipop apart from being a bit slow to open things and to load games and other stuff it ran ok certainly didnt struggle with day to day things like browsing and watching yt at least in the UK anyway i mean i was glad to move on but in a pinch would do fine.

I only buy flagships. Currently have an S24 Ultra after 3 years of S21 Ultra use, following Mate 20 Pro, etc. No point in replacing every year, especially if you're buying a €1200 phone each time.
